A message from Anne Marie Burr, CCMC, CCMO, Town of Cheshire Collector of Revenue:
The last day to pay the 2nd installment of the 2024 GL Real Estate Tax Bill, the 2024 GL Supplemental Motor Vehicle Tax Bill, and the 2026 Residential Sewer Use Bill is Monday, February 2, 2026.
Payment must be RECEIVED in the Tax Office by 4:00 pm on February 2, 2026. The payment drop box located in the Cheshire Town Hall parking lot is checked and blocked off at 4:00 pm on February 2, 2026. If you are mailing your payment, it MUST CONTAIN AN OFFICIAL US POSTMARK of February 2, 2026 or prior to be considered an on time payment. The only way to ensure your envelope contains an OFFICIAL US POSTMARK is to bring your envelope into a post office and request they hand stamp the date they received it on the envelope. Placing your payment in a mailbox on or close to the last day to pay DOES NOT GUARANTEE it will be stamped with an Official US Postmark of the day you mailed it.
