Regional Water Authority Water Main Installation Project - Mixville Road
Scope of Work:
- Installation of approximately 5300 linear feet of water main
- Replacement of water service lines in public space, as needed
- Replacement of Fire Hydrants and valves, as needed
- Town Hall Generator Project
- The brick has been installed, and installation of the electrical components will proceed as contractor receives deliveries.
Update: The Regional Water Authority recently completed a much-needed replacement of the water main over the summer and into this fall located on Mixville Road from Rte. 70 to Tucker Road as part of its Capital Improvement Program. With that work now finished, we are happy to share the next steps.
The Town Council recently accepted funding from the Regional Water Authority. As part of their project, RWA was originally responsible for repaving the east travel lane (half of the roadway) from Route 70 to Tucker Road. Instead of having only half the road paved, the Town has elected to accept the funding and combine it with Town funds to repave the entire roadway—from the Route 70 (Marion) intersection to Tucker Road (Mixville). Due to seasonal limitations, this paving work will take place in the spring.
Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
