The Engineering Department provides quality engineering and project management for planning, design, and constructing the Town of Cheshire’s infrastructure needs; and to deliver technical support to the Public Works Division and other Town Departments.
This Department consists of the Director of Engineering/Town Engineer, Assistant Town Engineer, and Engineering Technician; and oversees engineering, sewer department (WPCD), and the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA).
Responsibilities include performing reviews of Planning & Zoning Commission and Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission land use applications, design services for public improvement projects, issuing of permits for construction within the town’s right-of-way, stormwater management (MS-4 program), provide construction inspection services, administer the Pavement Management Program, and provide technical support to all other Town Departments.
